The Hitotsubashi University Center for Japanese Business Studies (hereafter HJBS ) was created to support Japanese business education and research. With access to an original, carefully-compiled, longitudinal database of Japanese firms, HJBS landmark programs, projects and activities are designed to generate a powerful body of well-trained, 21st century researchers who produce cutting-edge research on key issues in business innovation and related topics. The Hitotsubashi University Center for Japanese Business Studies hosted the 21st century Center of Excellence Program (COE) between FY2003 and FY2007 and will continue to be the driving force behind the global COE Program from FY2008 onward.
