FOREIGN EXCHANGE STUDENTS

Case of Mr. H, 2nd-year student in the Faculty of Commerce and Management

Country of origin: South Korea

Even while attending Japanese language school, I had already decided that I was going to try to get into Japan's most prestigious business school. I hit the books and studied hard to get into Hitotsubashi University Faculty of Commerce and Management, the best business school in Japan. I took the entrance exam for admission to Hitotsubashi University for international students last year, and began taking classes in April this year. Now everything I dreamed is coming to pass: I love going to school and learning and chatting with friends. And the campus is wonderful with venerable old buildings and lovely park-like atmosphere. Hitotsubashi University is the perfect place to recover from the stresses of everyday life.

Now as a freshman, I am super busy all day every day. I joined the International Society Debate Circle/Club, and we get together about twice a week to practice debate with upper class students and friends. It was pretty tough at first, but now we are learning about debate in a seminar, sharing ideas back and forth, and generally having a good time pursuing Circle activities. Also, I have decided that the small group seminar is really the best way to assess your own shortcomings and thoroughly master the subjects you are trying to learn. My days are full and very busy, but I couldn't be happier than to be right here at Hitotsubashi University.
